Eventing

Eventing:

Eventing is the test of all three Olympic style disciplines. There are 3 phases and the cumulative score of all three determines your ranking in the competition. One notable difference of required equipment in US eventing is the medical armband. Here’s the rule: EV113.3 MEDICAL CARDS/MEDICAL BRACELETS.  An approved and completed medical card or medical bracelet is required any time while jumping. Medical cards must be enclosed in a transparent, waterproof carrier. The competitor should attach their card to their upper arm in a secure manner. Medical bracelets must be visible on the competitor’s wrist. They must include any relevant medical history, injury (particularly to the head), drug allergies and current medication.

Participants wearing a bracelet must include relevant medical history in the online medical form of the bracelet’s vendor website. Particularly important are injuries (particularly to the head). This also applies to drug allergies and current medications. Athletes are responsible to update their medical information online. Thus, failure to wear one’s own medical card or bracelet shall be penalized by a fine of $100. (payable to the Organizing Committee).”
